SUMMARY

one week down and one week to go...we finally got past the first round of the playoffs...see what happens when we just play our normal game...we are in sync with each other and only having 6 shooters helps us get in a good rhythm...we are having fun and when we have fun we shoot alot better...keep up the good work...this week we played grey lodge in the semi finals and won 8-3...we shot very well in almost all aspects of the games except in shots...we had a horrendous 21 missed ins...that will be completely unacceptable next week...we have to do better....but the rest of our night was awesome...we had a team average of 59.81 with 2 shooters in the 70's, 1 in the 60's, and 3 in the 50's....that's about as good as a team could shoot...we hit the outs when we needed them and only had 8 missed outs...as a team we played great....let's keeps the mojo going into next week...we don't need to change anything...we just have to keep shooting well as our two standard teams...it seems to be working very well for us...

THE LOW LIGHTS

"dolla bills" were flying....not acceptable for a playoff week...we had 26 in total fines...ted led the way and took the playoff prestigious "Skippy Award" with 7 in fines (3 under 20's, 2 c-rules, and 2 missed ins) ...Jeff was in is second place with 3 missed ins, 1 under 20 and 1 c-rule...Ed had 4 in fines with 1 under 20, 1 c-rule and 2 missed ins, Johnny had 4 in fines with 3 missed ins and 1 under 20....Jr had 3 in fines with 2 missed ins and 1 under 20....and Andy had 3 in fines with 3 missed ins...once again we see the missed ins haunting us again....15 for missed in fines...not very good in a regular but horrendous for a playoff week.......7 under 20's and 4 c-rules as a team....and somehow we averaged 59.81 as a team...imagine how well we could have averaged if we cut down on those c-rules and under 20's...fortunately none of this hurt us too too bad and we were able to win in spite of it...

Nobody shot under a 45 this week...great shooting esp for the playoffs....way to step up the scores this weeks...

"under the covers" was improved this week....we had 31.53% of our shots under a 40....if we look under the covers once again we see the following culprits had at least 1 game average under a 40....Andy (25.00), Ted (28.00), Jr (34.00)....Jr had 41.67% of his shots under a 40...Johnny and Ed each had 37.50% of their shots under a 40....and Andy had 30.77% of his shots under a 40...

We had 2 shooters with scores in the single digits...Jeff shot a 6....and Ted shot a 7....single digits suck...pick up the pace....guys when all else fails let's aim for the big fat part....let's try and make sure each round we shoot is at least over a 40 (at a minimum)...

we go from 3 missed ins 2 weeks ago to 11 last week to 21 missed ins this week...ughghggh....that's horrible...and we pretty much spread the missed ins around....Ed and Jr led the way with 5 missed ins each...Johnny, Andy and Jeff each had 3 missed ins...and Ted had 2 missed ins...we have to do better getting into the games next week...focus on that double ring....

missed outs were very good considering we only had 8 missed outs...Ted led the way with 3 missed outs...everyone else on the team had 1 missed out...we have to hit those doubles next week to win...good job this week...let's carry that over to next week...

EVERYBODY finished the night over a 50% win rate...wins are the most important...love those wins...

THE HIGH LIGHTS

WOW!!! a team average of 59.81....are you kidding me...that's awesome....Jeff led the way with a huge 75.57 average...Andy shot an impressive 71.44...Johnny shot a very high 61.50....Ted shot a 53.04, Jr shot a 51.19 and Ed shot a 50.97....EVERYONE shot over a 50 average...and as a team we were awesome...I love the consistency last night...

let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game.......and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff led the way with a lowest game score of an impressive 59.60....now that's some good shooting....Johnny had a low game of 45.40 and Ed had a low game of 40.83.....Jeff also led the way with an unheard of 92.86% of his shots over a 40....that translates to only 1 shot under a 40...unfortunately that shot i had a 6 with a C-rule...but nonetheless that's some good shooting...Ted had 75% of his shots over a 40....that's some great consistent shooting guys....i love consistency and this stat helps show it....I'm glad we keep seeing some new names on this list....

this week we had a ton of tons....we had 13 tons this week....Jeff led the way with 5 tons....Andy had 3 tons....Johnny and Ted had 2 tons...Jr had 1 ton...we could hear the old english guy in the back screaming ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY ONE when Andy nailed 3 trip 19's...Jeff had a 140 and Johnny had a 125.....love those tons...keep hitting them...

this week we were ONLY 25% at the in shots...way down from the over 70% mark we set two weeks ago...Jeff and Ted led the way with 3 double ins each...Ed had 1 double in...once again we must find that double ring more consistently...

we spread the double outs around again this week...Ed led the pack with 3 double outs....Ed keep staying consistent at the outs...we need you next week...Jeff had 2 double outs....Johnny, Jr, Andy each had one double out....it's great having almost everyone contributing to the double outs (Ted maybe next week you can help)....when we get shots at the outs we must take our time and focus and hit them consistently...

and yours truly throws out the following line..."Remind me to rotate the board....that trip 20 is all chewed up...guess I hit it too much"...

CONCLUSION

we continued on our first half play by winning very decisively in the semis....it was great to see everyone having fun and continuing to win....we need to fix the missed in situation and keep our consistency in the rest of our game....next week we play Jokers at home....let's keep the winning going...and let's finally get the monkey off our back...our team has been playing too well this year to not finish it strong....think positive, focus on what you want to hit and we will succeed....with only 6 shooters each week we don't have any distractions and shoot very well together...and we do it by having fun....let's have some fun and play relaxed and confidently....we must be consistent throughout all of our games....practice up boys...
