SUMMARY well the last week of the 2nd half was a turbulent one...we get our butts handed to us...the "P" word was thrown around like a midget on a tilt a whirl...and things almost come to blows...but other than that it was just a fine night...well we played the "I only played 2 years of darts" cannonball team...they were solid and pretty much hit every out they threw at...fortunately for us after that performance we will probably not cross paths with them in future seasons...unfortunately we finish the 2nd half with a 5-10 loss...most likely that will move us out of 2nd place into a solid 3rd...which means we'll have a home game next week most likely against coaches...and assuming all the tops seeds win here's the path we'll have to take...Coaches, Tacony, Cannonballs...gear up and lets show these f'rs how to shoot...and by the way on the QCEDL website you can see the Cannonball captain as the 2nd place winner in the Cancer Shoot...not bad for a guy who claims he only shot darts for 2 years.... THE LOW LIGHTS "dolla bills" kept flying again this week...we owed 25 team fines...Ted led the way with 7 in fines and captured the prestigious "Skippy Award"...Ted (7) had 4 under 20's, 2 missed ins and 1 squat in cricket...Jr (4) had 1 under 20, 2 missed ins and 1 squat in cricket...Ed (3) had 1 C-rule and 2 missed ins...Johnny (3) had 1 under 20, 1 C-rule and 1 squat in cricket...Andy (3) had 2 under 20's and 1 missed in...Jeff (3) had 1 under 20, 1 missed in and 1 squat in cricket...Bill (2) had 1 under 20 and 1 missed in... Ed had the lowest average of the night with a 38.70...Johnny was right on his tail with a measly 38.80...and Bill rounds out the under 45 club with a 41.42.... lets look "under the covers" this week...we shot 35.94% of our shots under a 40....but if we look deeper under the covers once again we see that these culprits had more than 30% of their shots under a 40...Ed led the way with 50.00% of his shots under a 40...Johnny had 47.62% of his shots under a 40...Jr had 36.84 % of his shots under a 40...Bill had 33.33% of his shots under a 40...since its the last week and I need some good news I'm going to let Andy and Ted sneak in to the less than 30% club since they both shot 31.58% of their shots under a 40...and the following shooters had at least 1 game average under a 40...these are their lowest game average...let me classify these for you...here's the pathetic category (0-30)...Bill (29.25)...the still not so good category (31.00-39.99)...Jr (30.25), Ted (30.33), Johnny (31.50), Ed (31.67), Andy (39.20) and Jeff just misses with 39.67...in case you are hard of reading AGAIN (ie for the 3rd week in a row)...that's everyone on our team with at least 1 game with an average under a 40...not very good...especially having it happen in back to back to back weeks... We had 3 under 9's this week...Jeff (7), Jr (9) and Ted (9)...we stink... we had 11 missed ins this week...Jr led the way with 3 missed ins...Ed, Jeff and Ted each had 2 missed ins...Andy and Bill each had 1 missed in...and Johnny didn't even get a shot at an in... this week we had 14 missed outs...and it's not that low because we were hitting the outs...it's that low because we weren't getting to the outs...Ted led the mess with 5 missed outs...hit the damn double ring Teddy...jeezzzzz....Jr had 3 missed outs...Bill had 2 missed outs...and Ed, Johnny, Andy and Jeff each had 1 missed out... Johnny had the lowest cricket average of the night with a 1.33...Jr had a 1.55...and Ted had a 1.60 cricket average... we had 5 squat shots in cricket...Jr had 2...Johnny, Jeff and Ted each had 1.... Ted had the lowest win rate with only 14.29%...Ed was right on his heels with 16.67% win rate...Jr (28.57%), Johnny (33.33%) and Jeff (42.86%) round out the under 50% win rate club... THE HIGH LIGHTS we take a couple steps back with the averages...we only had a 48.18 team average...Jeff led the way with a 56.07...Jr (55.26) and Ted (53.93) round out the over 50 club....Andy (46.23) rounds out the over 45 club... let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game...and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40...nobody shot over a 40 average every game...that's some weak ass shooting for the 3rd week in a row...Jeff (76.00% or 6 shots), Andy (68.42% or 6 shots) and Ted (68.42% or 6 shots) were the shooters with over 70% (or at least close to 70%) of his shots over a 40...good job... this week we had 8 team tons...Jr and Ted led the way with 3 tons each...Jeff had 2 tons...Ed, Johnny, Andy and Bill weren't "in the mood" to have any scores in the triple digits... Jeff had the high score of the night with 140...Ted had a nice 121 and 108...Jr had a 104 in shot... Jeff led the way with (3 @ 60.00%) at the double ins...Ed and Jr each had 2 double ins...Bill had 1 double in...Andy went 0-1 and Ted went 0-2...Johnny didn't have a shot at an in... Jeff led the way with 2 double outs...Jr and Andy each had 1 double out...the remaining 4 players went 0-9 at the outs... Jeff led the way with a 2.71 average in cricket...Ed and Bill each had a 2.00 crikcet average... Jeff led the way with (4 @ 57.14%) >= 3-mark rounds...Bill (2), Ed (1), Jr (1) and Ted (1) had the other >= 3-mark rounds... Andy led the way with 60.00% win rate...Bill had a 50.00% win rate... THE QUOTES & RECAP 801-1 -- they spray them around...Ed has a C-rule...Jr has a 9 and Ted has a 15...obviously a loss... 801-2 -- Jeff starts the game with a pathetic 7....Johnny hits a C-rule...and Andy hits a 14....we suck as bad as the "B" team... 801-3 -- Jr starts the game off with a ton...Ed follows that up with an 82...Ted follows that up with a ton...Ted hits a 108 later in the match by hitting 4 12's and 3 20's...talk about strays...but the following round Ted hits a 9...another loss... 801-4 -- Johnny hits a 19...Andy hits "The Jr" or an 11 for those that don't know...Jeff hits a ton...but after 801 we are down 0-4... 501-1 -- Ed gets in...then later in the match Ed hits a 19...Bill follows that up with a "The Jr" of his own...Ted follows that up with a 95...but another loss... 501-2 -- Jeff gets in...and that's basically it for this game...another loss... 501-3 -- Jr misses the in...Ed gets in...Ted follows that up with a 13....another loss...7 losses in a row...pathetic... 501-4 -- 4 missed ins...Bill gets in...Jeff hits a 140 and then eventually takes out a 51 for our first win of the night... 501-5 -- 2 rounds of missed ins...Jr hits a 53...Ted hits a 121...Jr follows that up with a ton and then eventually Jr takes the game out... 501-6 -- Jeff hits an 88 on...and then Jeff takes out a 50 for our 3rd straight win... 501-7 -- Jr hits a huge 104 on...6 missed outs later and our winning streak comes to an abrupt halt... 501-8 -- Jeff gets in...Andy hits a 92 and the following round takes the game out...so after '01 we are losing 4-8... Cricket-1 -- Ed shoots 1, 2, 4, 2, 1...Ted shoots 2, 4, 0, 1, 1...they played their 2 studs and gave them a good run for their money...but not good enough for a win... Cricket-2 -- Jeff shoots 4, 3, 5, 0, 2, 4, 1...Johnny shoots 2, 2, 2, 0, 1, 1...back to back squats...a loss... Cricket-3 -- Jr shoots 2, 0, 2, 2, 4, 1, 1, 2, 1, 0, 2...Bill shoots 2, 1, 5, 2, 2, 1, 1, 3, 1, 2...at least we finish the night with a win... Quotes and Recap you could cut the tension with a knife... Philly's finest make a showing...both Big Mike and Terrance hang out for a while... Quote of the night: Mike (while looking at Andy's keys) --> I'm surprised there's not a rape whistle on here... Andy --> John's laughing at his own jokes... NOTE: if you want it in the blog just write it on the sheet...I don't discriminate... CONCLUSION not exactly the way to finish the year...losing by double digits is unacceptable...on the bright side we didn't shoot very well and they shot out of their minds...so at least if we see them in the playoffs we can only do better...most likely next week we'll play the first round of the playoffs at home against Coach's...let's come ready to play...
